What is an HWID Ban?
When you are caught using prohibited software, modern games don't just ban your account; they ban your computer. This is a Hardware ID (HWID) ban. The anti-cheat logs the unique serial numbers of your Motherboard, CPU, RAM, Disk Drives, and Network Card. If you create a new account on the same PC, it is instantly banned.
Why Rust and Tarkov are Unforgiving
Rust (using EAC) and Escape from Tarkov (using BattlEye) have some of the most aggressive HWID banning policies in the industry. EAC, in particular, will leave deep registry traces and tracking files on your system. Simply changing your IP or buying a new account is not enough.
Step-by-Step Spoofer Setup
Follow these steps to safely bypass a hardware ban using the Pops HWID Spoofer:
- Uninstall the Game & Launcher: Completely remove Rust/Tarkov and their respective launchers (Steam/BSG Launcher).
- Run the Deep Cleaner: Open the Pops Spoofer client and click "Clean Traces". This scrubs the hidden tracking files and registry keys left behind by EAC and BattlEye.
- Inject the Spoofer: Select your target game in the Spoofer UI and hit "Spoof System". Your PC will temporarily randomize all physical hardware serials.
- Verify the Spoof: Use the built-in HWID checker tool to confirm your disk and motherboard serials have changed.
- Reinstall & Play: Reinstall the game launcher, download the game, and log in with a fresh, untainted account.
Best Practices
